8 nm shake-down southwest from Real Club Náutico de Palma to El Toro. Mallorca summer wind regime is the embat (sea breeze from S/SW) at 8-15 kn. El Toro small marina + sheltered bay between Mallorca mainland and the Sa Dragonera islet 4 nm west. Cala Caragol on sand 4-6 m for swim.

32 nm long northwest along the Serra de Tramuntana cliff coast to Port de Sóller. The Tramuntana mountains run 90 km NE-SW, peaks over 1400 m falling straight to sea — the most dramatic coastline in the Balearics. Port de Sóller horseshoe bay sheltered from any direction.
