If the change exceeds this threshold, it necessitates the issuance of a new charter contract, which must be processed through one of Sail Emerald affiliate’s bases due to the requirement for new procedures with port authorities. The fees associated with crew changes are set at €120, which covers water, electricity, and marina fees/services across all affiliate’s bases. For crew changes of less than 75%, an additional term can be added to the existing charter contract, allowing the process to avoid the need to visit any base for port procedures. If a new skipper is introduced, an extra charge ranging from €135 to €425 (for check-in/out fee) will apply, depending on the boat's size. This structured approach ensures compliance with port authority regulations while providing flexibility for charter clients regarding crew management.
